The Silverado 1500 comes standard with a TurboMax™ 2.7-liter turbo I-4 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Three more engine options are available. A 5.3-liter V-8 engine produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. A 6.2-liter V-8 engine produces 4520 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Finally, a Duramax® 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel I-6 engine produces 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. The Silverado 1500 comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while a 10-speed automatic transmission is available. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while four-wheel drive is available. The Silverado 1500 has a maximum available towing capacity of 13,300 pounds.
Exterior
The Colorado and Silverado 1500 both boast impressive exterior designs that have recently been revamped, with fresh grilles and sleek headlights. Both models also offer Brooklyn drivers a variety of wheel design options, so you can more easily customize the exterior appearance of your vehicle. The Colorado lets you transport up to 1,580 pounds of cargo in the truck bed. Meanwhile, the Silverado 1500 has a maximum available payload rating of 2,280 pounds

Tech Features
The Colorado comes standard with an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and six speakers. You can also upgrade to an available seven-speaker Bose premium audio system. The Silverado 1500 comes standard with a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen on the base trim. A 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen is available, along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Like the Colorado, the Silverado 1500 offers an available seven-speaker Bose premium audio system. Both the Colorado and Silverado 1500 come standard with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®.
Safety Features
Both the Colorado and Silverado 1500 come standard with plenty of safety features. Notable features that are standard on both trucks include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and a following distance indicator.
