The Sierra 2500 has a 6.6L V8 gas engine that’s paired with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission. This combination yields 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 464 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm.

If you plan on using your Sierra 2500 for towing, the available 6.6L Duramax may be a better fit. The 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine offers a maximum towing capacity of up to 22,070 pounds with 470 horsepower and 975 lb.-ft. of torque.

Safety
